On Wednesday 12th December in Pollensa at Tartas Al Alba Ruben Dario number 12 from 10am to noon there will be a Spanish/English exchange session for people keen to improve their Spanish. It will be a fun and free event. You can contact suepollensa@gmail.com for more information.

 

The Mallorcan hair brand Martinsson King will be offering free stylings at the Rialto Living store on Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Go in and say hi to their cool team David and Anders.

 

The Swedish celebration of Santa Lucia will be in the Cathedral 13 December at 19.30

The Anglican Church Christingle service will be on 6pm Friday 14th. It is a family oriented affair – interactive drama, and you can make your own Christingle to take home for the Christmas season and sing some lovely carols too! All welcome

 

On SAT, 15 DEC AT 11:00 there will be a Charity Yoga event at Bellver Castle. It’s to raise money for the organization who rescues refugees in the Mediterranean. They will ask for donation towards the funding of the boat Aquarius.

 

The huge Christmas lunch for kids in need will be this Sunday on 16th December. It is being organised by Saloua from A Ma Maison in Palma. She is working with other chefs to feed 600 kids! They are asking for donations of presents for the children so if you have something to donate or you can volunteer then please get in touch with her. Call 971 91 96 97

 

On Monday 17th December Palma College will have an Open Day for any interested young people looking to do their A levels there.

 

Over at Peaky Blinders Tavern in Magaluf there will be a variety of events going on including a crafts afternoon on Saturday for children of all ages 6€ with food included. :They will also have the band Amsterdam playing Saturday night from 11. They are also starting music bingo which will be the first of its kind in Mallorca and great fun for all family. On 22nd December they will have music from Red Suns, and on 23rd December they will have Santa’s grotto with sleigh mulled wine and hog roast from 5pm. And they will have a NEW YEAR GALA on 31st ! 48366464_2013946805358598_1914799817599483904_nOn Tuesday 18th December at The Upper Room Christian Fellowship in Palma Nova there will be a joint service with the Anglican Church and then on Wednesday 19th December there will be a Carols by Candlelight event at 6pm It will be followed by mince pies at O’Neills Bar next door. The Anglican Church in Palma will be doing their own Carol service on Sunday 23rd at 6pm.

 

48377333_10213710285295880_1727508568837455872_nAlso on Sunday 23rd December at 6pm in Es Capdella there will be a Christmas Carol singing at Sa Vinya Bar and Restaurant. They invite you to bring a candle and join them for burgers, mulled wine, hot chocolate and lots of singing. All funds raised are going to Unicef.

The idea is that you take a handbag that you no longer use and fill it with makeup, hygiene and sanitary products. Take it to one of their drop off points and it will be donated to a homeless woman this Christmas. The rules are no medication, no sharp objects and no empty bottles. Donations end on Friday 21st so you have some time to get it organised.
